01Build an identity card first
Build an identity card before generating. A character card records age range, face shape, hair, clothes, accessories, temperament and forbidden changes. A scene card records spatial layout, dominant colour, light direction and the placement of key objects. The purpose is not literary description: every shot reuses the same constraints, and text must agree with any visual reference.
02Use a minimum reference set
One front-facing image is not enough. A person needs front, side and half-body references; a product needs front, side and important details; a scene needs its spatial structure. Every reference must truly show the same person, object or design. Do not test face replacement or character copying with an unlicensed real person's photo. For client work, record the source and permission for every reference asset.
03Constrain the route with keyframes
A start frame alone leaves the destination to the model. Give both the first and last frame to make the path clearer: a product turntable, a person moving from standing to sitting, or a camera push from wide to close. Keep the gap plausible. Instant wardrobe changes, day becoming night, or a room becoming a beach force too many changes into a short clip.
04Change one variable at a time
First lock character, scene and camera and test only motion. Next lock character and motion, then adjust the camera. Change light or style only after a usable version exists. This makes the cause of drift visible. A fixed seed can help find similar composition and movement, but it is not identity insurance: a new model version, reference or prompt can still change the result.
05Accept shots side by side
Do not admire neighbouring shots separately; place them side by side and inspect the cut. Check five continuities: face, hair, age and proportions; wardrobe, accessories and product labels; doors, windows, furniture and light direction; the hand, gaze and object position that carry the action; and grain, colour, depth of field and lens texture. A single mismatch becomes obvious at the edit point.
